Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood was born in Raleigh,
North Carolina, on the 7th of September, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III
(a theatre actor as well as writer and director) is her father. Sara Wood Wood
is her mother and actress. Her older brothers include Dana Wood, a musician and
Ira David Wood IV who are also actors. Evan and her brothers have performed at
Theatre In The Park, Raleigh, where her father serves as the director. At the
age of five, she auditioned to play the character in Interview with the Vampire:
The Vampire Chronicles (1994). She relocated to Los Angeles with her mom and
brother Ira in 1996 . She's enjoyed success since then, appearing in a TV show,
TV film as well as feature films. She was in Practical Magic (1998) and starred
in the comedic S1m0ne (2002) as Al Pacino's daughter, and was then in Thirteen
(2003) featuring Holly Hunter. Her breakthrough role as Tracy in
"Thirteen" was rewarded with a Golden Globes nomination for Best
Performance by an actress in the genre of Motion Picture: Drama and for a
Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Actress
Female in a Leading Role. In the year of her SAG nomination, she was the
youngest actress to be recognized for the Leading Role category. Her role in
the role of Veda Pierce in the HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce (2011) was
rewarded with an Emmy nomination and an Emmy nomination and a Golden Globe
award. Her remarkable portrayal of Stephanie Rourke's estranged son in Darren
Aronofsky's The Wrestler (2008) earned her recognition. Sara Wood and Ira David
Wood III are her parents. The younger sister of Ira David Wood IV and Dana
Wood. She is a dancer who has been trained. She loves to sing, swim as well as
rollerblade. She also enjoys on horseback rides. She is black belt in tae-kwon
do. She remains in contact with a lot of her Once and Again (1999 castmates:
Mischa Barrton, Julia Whelan and Shane West.
