Lil Tecca
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on
26 August 2002, is a popular American musician and singer. The release of
"Ransom," his 2019 single, has helped him become a popular star. The
song was featured on his debut mixtape Love You Tecca (2019) which peaked at
number 4 on the US Billboard 200. The mixtape also included the singles
"Love Me" and "Did It Again". The album he released as his
debut studio album titled"Virgo" (2020) it debuted at No. 10 on the
Billboard 200. It also featured the Billboard Hot 100-charting singles
"Dolly" and "When You Down". The second mixtape "We
Love You Tecca 2" came out in August 2021. It featured "Repeat
It" and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony sharpe was the son of
Jamaican immigrants. He was born on August 26, 2002, in Queens, New York City.
He was born in Queens in Springfield Gardens. However, Sharpe eventually moved
to Cedarhurst in Long Island. Since his early years, Sharpe had aspirations of
playing in the NBA However, around 12 years of age Sharpe shifted his focus to
pursue a career in music. Sharpe attended Lawrence High School. When Tecca was
just nine years old, he adapted to his musical passion by rapping with his
buddies using his Xbox. They would occasionally create diss tracks on each
other. One of the tracks was uploaded to SoundCloud years back, but it has
since been removed. At the beginning, he did not intend to pursue music and
instead had dreams of being an NBA superstar. But, during his middle school
years he lost interest in basketball and was contemplating taking music more
seriously. His first song that became well-known, "Tectri", was
recorded by Lil Gummybear in partnership with Lil Gummybear and released in
early 2017. The artist also dropped "Callin", another of his first
songs. The hit song of his "Ransom," which was first uploaded to Cole
Bennett's Lyrical lemonade YouTube channel on May 22 in 2019, was the start of
the meteoric rise of Tecca. It reached the top spot at 4 in the Billboard Hot
100 charts and was played over 900,000,000 times on Spotify and more than 300
million times on YouTube.
