Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actor. Alison Doody first made a film debut as a Bond model with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she was as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donevan is in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988), and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) were other characters. Doody was first introduced to modeling when she was invited by a professional photographer. This led to an impressive career as a commercial model. Doody avoided nude and glamour work, a rule that she incorporated into her acting. Having come to the attention of the director who cast a new James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was named one of the twelve most promising actors of the year in 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was just turning age 18 when she took on the character as a Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bondgirl to date. A Prayer for the Dying with Mickey Rourke also had a role for Doody in the character of IRA Siobhan. Doody was seen as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden. She played Lilias. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she played alongside Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most notable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The film also starred Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody was a part of three actors that have played James Bond. Doody was a guest on RTE's medical drama The Clinic. The project was later canceled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. In 2014, she was on the show as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. The Almeria tierra de film award was awarded to her on the 21st of November the 21st of November, 2018. In addition, she was awarded one of the stars at the Almeria Walk of Fame.
