Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was an Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix demonstrated a talent for athletics early on discovering her talent for sprinting while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt and placing among the top two athletes in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003. She later enrolled in University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. She broke a Junior World Record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 second. She was the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in the Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo regularly placing in the top three places in all her events.
